Help with downloading and using sermons
Audio software
To listen to a sermon using your computer, you will need some kind of audio software. It's likely that your computer will already have some installed. However, we have provided links to three of the most popular free options so that you can download and install some audio software if required.
Listening on your computer
To listen immediately using your computer, simply click the speaker icon or the title of the sermon. Your computer will open it using a suitable audio player.
This can take several minutes as it actually downloads the entire
file.
Downloading to listen later
(recommended way)
You may want to download the sermon so that you can either listen to it on your computer later or record it onto a CD. Instead of clicking on the sermon you want, use your right mouse button to 'right click' on the sermon. A menu will appear. Choose the option to 'Save Target as...' and then save the file to your computer. It is best to save it somewhere you will find it easily later - perhaps your desktop or in 'My Documents'. When you are ready to listen, find the file and open it to begin listening.
Subscribing to the podcast
The Podcast allows you to 'subscribe' to All Saints' sermons so that when a new sermon is provided online, your computer will automatically download it to your computer and synchronize with your MP3 player.
You can subscribe to the Podcast in three easy steps.
- Open iTunes
- Select Menu > Advanced > Subscribe to Podcast
- Enter: http://sermons.allsaintscrowborough.org/podcastfeed.xml
